Dave is the Co-Founder and General Partner at Freestyle. He’s a hustling entrepreneur at heart and has been running businesses since he was a kid. At nine years old, he started his first job, a paper route for Waterville Morning Sentinel newspaper in Maine. From there he went on to found Thriller Designs in 5th grade and Sounds Unlimited, a mobile DJ service, in 6th grade, where he DJ’d for 10yrs.
After graduating from MIT and working at Oracle for one year, he co-founded Spinner, the 1st internet radio service, in 1995 (acquired by AOL for $320 million in 1999) and Crackle, an internet video platform, in 2004 (acquired by Sony for $65 million in 2006).
Dave was lucky to combine his startup entrepreneurial experience with venture investing, co-founding Freestyle in 2009. Dave is also very passionate about being “#1 in the #2 business” and is the founding chairman of Brondell, a high-tech toilet seat company, & Toi Labs, a leader in the connected toilet seat market.
When he is OOO, he enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, being a dad to 5 great kids, and traveling the world with his adventurous wife, Amy.
